Indian Penal Code, 1860
Section 450
repealedHouse-trespass in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment for life
Whoever commits house-trespass in order to the committing of any offence punishable with imprisonment for life, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
Why this exists
This section fills the gap just below section 449, covering house-trespass done to prepare for crimes that are extremely serious, though not punishable by death, such as certain forms of grievous harm. It shows how the law scales the punishment for trespass according to how serious the intended crime behind it is.
